The NES mapping of newcomer businesses in the participating cities provides for detailed information on newly arrived citizens, the number of newcomer-led businesses as well as the prerequisites and obstacles which refugees and migrants face when starting a business. Particular attention is given to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on migrant and refugee businesses, with surveys exploring how the crisis has impacted on business development and support needs
